MG has reduced prices of its IC-engined range comprising the Hector, Astor and Gloster courtesy of the GST 2.0 restructuring
MG Motor India has brought in hefty price cuts across its ICE SUV lineup after considering GST 2.0 benefits which will come into effect on September 22, 2025. The Gloster, Hector and Astor are all less expensive with savings ranging from Rs 35,000 to Rs 3.04 lakh depending on the model and variant chosen by the consumer.
The flagship MG Gloster ICE full-sized SUV has seen the most aggressive price drops. Its prices now decline by up to Rs 3.04 lakh – bringing the top-end Savvy 7-seater 4WD from Rs 45.53 lakh to Rs 42.49 lakh. Even the lower trims get Rs 2.6–2.9 lakh reduction in prices, making the SUV a much stronger rival to the Toyota Fortuner.
In the midsize SUV space, the Hector lineup benefits from cuts of Rs 50,000 to nearly Rs 1.5 lakh. Petrol trims such as the Style 1.5 MT start at Rs 14 lakh – down by Rs 50,000 – while diesel variants see steeper drops as the Sharp Pro 2.0 MT GE is less expensive by Rs 1.49 lakh and is priced at Rs 20.76 lakh.

The Hector 6- and 7-seater versions follow a similar trend. Diesel buyers gain the most with price reductions above Rs 1.3 lakh on higher trims. For example, the Hector 6 Sharp Pro 2.0 Diesel MT BE now costs Rs 20.55 lakh – saving buyers Rs 1.47 lakh. The MG Astor has lighter but still meaningful price drops courtesy of GST 2.0 restructuring.
Entry trims like the Sprint 1.5 MT are less expensive by Rs 35,000 at Rs 9.65 lakh while top-spec Savvy Pro 1.5 CVT saves Rs 54,000 – carrying a price tag of Rs 15.16 lakh. MG has kept the pricing of its EV range comprising the Comet, ZS EV, Windsor (best-selling EV in India) and the recently introduced Cyberster and M9 unchanged.

With the festive season well and truly on, MG’s new pricing could turn interests into bookings as purchasing sentiments will largely be positive during this period across the country.
